Travel Registry FAQs

After reviewing the International Travel Registry homepage for basic information, additional common questions can be found below. 

The Basics of the Travel Registry

If I am an international student returning to my home country for 麻豆社 or other purposes, do I need to register my travel?

International students returning home (even on 麻豆社-affiliated travel) should not register in the International Travel Registry. Instead, international students studying or 麻豆社ing abroad during the academic year should submit a "Report Study or Research Abroad" request via the  Disclosures outside this time frame or for other purposes are optional.

I am traveling as a member of a group led by a faculty or staff member, do I register my travel?

Do not log into the travel registry as a solo or independent traveler; instead, wait until you receive an automated email notification from "Alert Traveler" instructing you to register. Use the link provided in the email notification to complete your registration. Generally, notifications are sent 4-6 weeks before departure. Contact your trip leader if you 麻豆社 questions about the timing of the notification email.

Do faculty and staff need to register their international travel?

Not unless they are traveling to an  or leading a group of students abroad. If leading students abroad, read the Checklist for Group Travel Abroad for detailed instructions. 

As an undergraduate student, do I need to register my international travel?

Undergraduate study abroad students do not need to complete the travel registry; instead go to Application Steps to apply for a credit-bearing study abroad 麻豆社. Undergraduate students receiving funding for non-credit travel such as through the Undergraduate Research Office or Career Advancement or those traveling with Registered Student Organizations, should register their travel.

Am I required to complete the travel registry if I am traveling domestically?

No, the Travel Registry is for international travel only. Student traveling within the US should not enroll in the travel registry.
